0.2.12 - the 'hopefully this game is less broken' update


After the public demo of this game last week at the Norwich Science Festival, I noticed a couple of bugs, which I have attempted to fix in this update.

  • Clients should no longer be greeted by a frozen HUD and viewmodel upon the automatic map rotations happening.
  • The default player count text (saying ‘x/y - FULL’) should now no longer appear upon joining a game
  • Fixed a bug which caused the incorrect initial amount of food to spawn in upon a scene change when there are two or more players playing.
  • Fixed a bug which caused the wrong player(s) to be told that they won upon a certain player reaching maximum size.
    • Also now states a player number for the player who won (instead of just saying vaguely that someone else won)
  • Hopefully the bug that caused client players to eventually completely freeze (losing controls and everything) after long enough game sessions is fixed.
  • Also, I double-checked, yes it is possible to connect to an IP-hosted game from the mobile build
